About this place
Sunnycroft was built in 1880, with an extension added in 1899.
It is a late-Victorian suburban villa in Wellington, Shropshire, and one of the few surviving examples of a prosperous Victorian gentleman's residence to have kept almost all of its original contents and grounds intact.
The kitchen garden, orchard, and pigsties remain in place, giving an unusually complete picture of domestic life at that scale.
The National Trust has cared for the property since 1997.
