About this place

The tower house at Dundas Castle dates from the fifteenth century, standing near South Queensferry on the edge of Edinburgh.

Architect William Burn added a Tudor-Gothic mansion alongside it in the nineteenth century, and the two buildings are listed separately as Category A structures.

The estate runs to around 400 acres and now operates as an exclusive-use venue for weddings and private events, with seventeen individually styled bedrooms.

There is no general public access; a stay or event booking is the only way in.
