Edmondsham House dates from 1589 and stands in the small village of Edmondsham, near Wimborne in Dorset.
Georgian wings were added to the south east and north west corners in later centuries.
The house remains a private family home.

History
The core of Edmondsham House was built in 1589, during the later Tudor period, and Georgian additions were made to two corners of the building in the centuries that followed. A 12th-century parish church stands close by in the village, giving the small settlement a history that predates the house itself by several hundred years.
Architecture
The house combines a late Tudor core with Georgian wings added at the south east and north west, giving it a layered rather than uniform appearance.

The six-acre garden is managed organically and features unusual trees and spring bulb displays, alongside a walled kitchen garden.
