East Riddlesden Hall is a 17th-century manor house in Riddlesden, on the edge of Keighley in West Yorkshire.
Built around 1642 by James Murgatroyd, a local clothier, the stone-built hall features mullioned windows and steep gables typical of Jacobean domestic architecture.
Beside it stands a large timber-framed barn.
The property is surrounded by a series of walled gardens that create an unexpectedly private atmosphere despite the house's proximity to town.
The National Trust has cared for the hall since 1934, when it was gifted to them.
Visitors can walk through the house, the barn, and the gardens in a single afternoon.

The hall was built around 1642 by James Murgatroyd, a local clothier who wanted a house to match his rising status. Ownership passed through several families over the following centuries, including the Starkie family, before the house fell into disrepair in the early twentieth century. It was given to the National Trust in 1934, saving it from likely demolition.
