About this place

Francis Smith designed the current Chillington Hall in 1724, built on the site of an earlier house near Brewood, Staffordshire, four miles northwest of Wolverhampton.

The Georgian house is Grade I listed and remains the home of the Giffard family, who have held this land for more than 800 years.

Capability Brown landscaped the park and lake, which remain a key feature of the estate.

The Hall runs guided tours on set open days and hosts private hire and wedding receptions.
